At Snellville Websites Today, our primary focus has always been helping businesses succeed online through website design, website hosting, website maintenance, SEO, content creation, and online visibility services.
Over the years, we have also provided branded email accounts through our hosting platform. While this has worked well for many clients, the email industry has changed significantly and has become increasingly specialized.
As a result, we have made the decision to discontinue the free branded email services hosted through our platform effective September 1, 2026.
Why We Are Making This Change
This decision is not being made because email is going away or because our hosting platform cannot provide email. Rather, it reflects the reality that modern email has become a specialized service.
Today, email delivery depends on evolving security standards, spam prevention technologies, sender reputation systems, authentication requirements, and compliance policies that are constantly changing.
The email industry has become specialized, and dedicated email providers are better positioned to manage deliverability, security, and compliance than traditional web hosting providers.
Companies such as Google and Microsoft invest enormous resources into maintaining email infrastructure and adapting to industry changes. They are often directly involved in the development, implementation, and adoption of new email standards and security requirements that affect email delivery worldwide.
For businesses that rely on email every day, dedicated email providers are generally in a better position to provide reliable and secure service than traditional web hosting companies.
Our Recommendation
For most businesses, we recommend moving to a dedicated email platform such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
These services provide:
- Reliable email delivery
- Advanced spam and phishing protection
- Improved security
- Larger storage capacity
- Mobile and desktop synchronization
- Better long-term support
- Ongoing compliance with changing email standards
While these services do involve a monthly or annual cost, they are designed specifically for business email and are widely trusted by organizations of all sizes.
What About Smaller Businesses?
Some businesses currently use free email services such as Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo Mail, or similar platforms and may continue doing so without issue.
If your current setup is meeting your needs, there may be no immediate reason to change.
However, as your business grows and email becomes a more important part of your operations, we encourage you to consider a dedicated business email platform that offers greater reliability, security, and control.
Important Deadline
All branded email services hosted through Snellville Websites Today will be discontinued on September 1, 2026.
We strongly encourage affected clients to begin planning and completing their migration as soon as possible.
Waiting until the final weeks may result in unnecessary stress, delays, or interruptions to your email service.
What We Will Do
We will continue supporting existing hosted email accounts through August 31, 2026.
If you choose a new email provider, we can assist by updating your domain’s DNS records so that your domain points to your chosen email platform.
Clients are responsible for selecting, purchasing, and managing their email service with their chosen provider.
Looking Ahead
This change allows us to focus more of our resources on delivering the website hosting, maintenance, SEO, AI search optimization, and digital marketing services that our clients rely on every day.
We appreciate your business and your trust over the years. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible while helping you move to a solution that is better suited for the future of business email.
If you have questions about your options, please contact us.
Sincerely,
Criss Mwakamui
